Freelance Art Dept for film & Stylist at Urban Caprice
I spent several years working in art departments for music videos, shorts and feature film. Following on from this, I worked as a production design assistant and stylist for high-end events company Urban Caprice (Caprice Holdings).
Award-Winning Restaurant Owner
In 2009 I left London for Lyme Regis, where I opened my own restaurant 'The Mill Tea & Dining Room', which won The Good Food Guide's best restaurant in the South-West in 2011 and was entered into the Michelin Guide in it's second year of trading - almost unheard of.
During this time I wrote regular comedy columns for Dorset Magazine and Stalking Elk Magazine. I also wrote a very successful blog for the restaurant.
Branded Content Producer & Stills Photographer
In 2011 I helped establish an ambitious new film production company Averner Films, which delivers content for premium brands, and which has sold a screenplay story edited by me (un-credited) to Pinewood Pictures. (Camera Trap, released 2015). I did stills photography on the film as well.
2014 - now
My first feature-length film script (Marriages at Claridge's) was a sucessful submission to the BBC Writersroom and I am now working with a development producer there. My second feature-length script, (Alderney) reached the semi-finals of the Screen-craft Horror Competition 2015 and Quarter-finals of the Final Draft ‘Big Break’ Competition 2015. My TV Pilots (Salt-Boxer and The Tide Line) reached the Semi-finals of the Screencraft TV Pilot Competition in 2015 & 2016
I write scripts for branded content, viral campaigns, explainers and animated & live-action advertising for clients including: BI Wine Merchants, Harrods, BitSmith Games, British Standards Institute, Billhub, Bathstore, JTI, Linx, MBNA Property Partner, Kingfisher, B&Q, National Geographic Traveller and the NHS.
