ADVERTISING

Your brand doesn't just need to be understood, it needs to provoke a reaction. I grab the audience by the emotions and squeeze - joy, pride, love, friendship, redemption, aspiration and, above all, SHAREABILITY.

EXPLAINERS

New products and services need breaking down into chewable chunks. Clear messaging, cool transitions, amusing and/or informative VO. I'll make sure the audience not only digests the information effectively, but loves the flavour.

BRAND SPONSORED STORIES

The latest and greatest way to leap out and surprise your target market - just tell a great story. If you have a documentary subject in mind, I can format it into a compelling narrative. If you need a unique piece of drama or comedy I can offer up ideas or work wonders with yours.

Recent work:

Screenwriters understand character, narrative and the emotional arc underpinning every piece of video content. To create an engaging script that will sell an idea, you need more than just 'copy' from a writer, you need story structure, character development and accurate visualisation of every moment on screen.

On top of that, you need someone who understands the filming process, how things are shot, visual styles, camera angles, budget constraints, mise-en-scene and how all these things impact on the delivery of the story you want to tell.

I've worked in the film industry for over twelve years and my production experience has given me practicality, skill and insight into engaging with target audiences.

You can expect a talented and disciplined creative mind that reflects intelligently on your brief to come up with compelling ideas, dialogue and imagery that deliver messages in an impactful way.

I began screenwriting full-time when I had my son four years ago and have written scripts for clients including: Harrods, 3M, BitSmith Games, British Standards Institute, Billhub, Bathstore, MBNA, Property Partner, Linx, Kingfisher, National Geographic Traveller, B&Q and the NHS.

I also had a successful submission to the BBC Writersroom and am currently working with a development producer there, but that's another story...
